Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gtwitter
Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release: 8.10 gtwitter: Installed: 1.0~beta-6ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.0~beta-6ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1.0~beta-6ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Expect gtwitter to start when launched, instead it crashes. This bug is 100% reproducible. When launched from a terminal I get the following output: Unhandled Exception: System.Threading.ThreadStateException: Thread has already been started. at (wrapper managed-to-native) System.Threading.Thread:Thread_internal (System.MulticastDelegate) at System.Threading.Thread.Start () [0x00000] at gtwitter.MainWindow.ReadStoredData () [0x00000] I have check for existing processes and there are none. I even logged out and checked there were no user processes left at all. I haven't tried a reboot as that would be taking the compatibility with windows .net too far! If I login as another user, gtwitter starts as expected. Therefore, I suspect a corrupt user configuration but before I hunt for and delete that configuration, I thought a bug report would be useful. This problem started when I was unable to connect to the twitter server, no explanation was given but I had not changed my login details. ** Affects: gtwitter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - gtwitter crashes on startup + gtwitter crashes on startup: System.Threading.ThreadStateException -- gtwitter crashes on startup: System.Threading.ThreadStateException https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362482 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
