Using Synaptic, I could not remove the acroread-debian-files package without it flagging the acroread-9.1 package for update and it would fail to install with the same error as ricardisimo. I had to un-install both packages then I could install the acroread-9.1 package. Odd thing happened afterward... the acroread-debian-files was then empty of any information (dependencies, description, etc.) so I did a "complete- removal" and it disappeared entirely from the package list. I had done an "apt-get autoclean" at some point so I wonder about that package.
BTW, this also seems to be the same as Bug# 360300, 361330 and 359518 (and dozens of others are listed there as duplicates as well). -- Cannot update Adobe Acrobat Reader via Update Manager https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/247990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
