Hello everybody,

Following the updates to linux-image-2.6.27-14 I got today, there was an
excuse for new testing. However, the result is the same: this new image
doesn't boot. I've tried three times, always without the "quiet" splash
option, and two of them in text mode. In usplash, the last message is
"loading hardware drivers, as above". In text mode, the last message is:

[ 19.576687] input: TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint as
/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/serio2/input/input12

where the number may change. Please note that I've only waited for about
15 minutes before considering the machine hung.

If I press Alt+SysReq+(R then E), the process will continue, although
it will stop again in cups. This time, the longest I have waited for is
5 minutes. Alt+SysReq+ R-E will allow me to log in, although I'll get a
message os /home/miguel not found. This is not surprising, since I have
a separate home partition. Slash (/) was mounted rear-only, too. After
issuing "mount -a" I was able to dump the dmesg log into my home (slash
was still read-only). This log (when booting -14) is attached here.
Exact kernel version is:

$ aptitude show linux-image-2.6.27-14-generic | grep Vers
VersiĆ³n: 2.6.27-14.33

I will also post a couple of pictures I took with my camera. They will
be resized and cropped to the relevant screen section, so don't worry.
