Now updated to kernel 2.6.28-11-generic #41-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 8 04:39:23 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux. This problem seems to be fixed as I can use any of the three keys (Alt, Ctrl, Super) and grab the window and move the window around. The original bug had Compiz enabled and this is still the case. Please close this bug report (as fixed).
