Public bug reported: After upgrading packages due for upgrades my Logitech TrackMan Wheel trackball exhibits bizarre behaviour. The mouse jumps all over the screen, and button events happen at random (well really due to misinterpreting the mouse events I suspect). Switching to an acer mouse I had lying around, works for now, but I really like my trackball. I have previously noticed and reported (but to debian not xubuntu obviously) this behaviour when I was running Debian Etch and upgraded to the 2.6.17 kernel (and I think at that time that was the only change I made). So this could be a kernel problem, a suspicion which is supported by the fact that gdm in the console is also affected.
