Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

New install, sound works fine in Windows. Audigy 2, previously worked
in 8.10. Nothing appears to be muted. When using pauvmonitor and
playing an mp3 through Totem, monitor shows activity on left/right
channels.

No sound in pulseaudio. Pauvmonitor shows audio visually, but nothing actually
plays.
