Public bug reported: I have two identical monitors attached to my desktop machine. There does not seem to be a way for me to tell GNOME that I want the panels on the right monitor and not the left one. Sometimes it puts them on one, sometimes on the other.
I tried to fix this by swapping the monitors in gnome-desktop- properties, but that resulted in the right monitor going completely black, and undoing that made the left one go black, too.
