Meanwhile I got myself a new CPU, an Intel with the virtualisation
Extension to run native OS'es - right now I'm running a custom Kernel
(made with the ubuntu-xen-source), as I tried to have fbcon, which for
some reason I was not having with the default kernel and still don't
have with my custom kernel.

Anyhow, right now I'm running some >50 domains without a crash....
though native (read: vmx) ones.

I haven't tried any of the xen-modified guests (well, I lost them with
the new disk-layout and haven't created new ones yet) - so I can't say,
if my problems still persist with the new CPU if I run xen-modified
Systems.

Though I do have one off-topic hint - I'm running the base (dom0) on a
USB CF, which is rather slow - so to startup 50 systems, xen does a lot
in the xenstore directory /var/lib/xenstored, which basically makes the
system crawl, I changed that now to a tmpfs... and it has now a lot of
speed (though it could be faster for my taste....), but I fear suspend
won't work anymore, but that is none of my concern.

regards
Philipp
