Public bug reported: Due to missing /etc/inittab which is normal it seems that /etc/event.d/rc-default, sets runlevel to 2, and thus no scripts in /etc/rc5.d are executed. editing this script fixes this issue.
Steps to reproduce: just put a sumlink to any script to /etc/rc5.d, and it won't be executed. Now edit /etc/event.d/rc-default (change runlevel t0 5), and it will be executed ** Affects: upstart (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Upstart always starts at runlevel 2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358366 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
