Hello everyone! @Alex: Thanks, I'm pretty sure that's exactly the case. Weird, I've searched for half a day and didn't catch any hint of this. (And I'm pretty sure I actually _read_ that Appendix; I probably just skipped over the TwinView parts because this is a desktop machine with a single monitor...)
@Bryce: Yes, this still happens with the latest drivers (180.44-0ubuntu1 for nvidia-glx). Given the above, I guess this should be closed with a “won't fix”, right?
