@VangelistX: Thanks, I think the problematic version was 2:2.6.3-0ubuntu4 and xorg-edgers package was version 5. The latest seems to be 2:2.6.30ubuntu8 — I'm just going to update to that. As far as I am concerned, the bug seems to be fixed — I will report if the latest version has the old issues (which is highly improbable, I guess) or new ones.
Sorry for tarrying with my response. I don't seem to have a relevant Xorg.log file from March 26, when I upgraded to Jaunty and the issue occurred. I guess there I cannot reproduce the issue any longer, since I do not know how to downgrade to version 4 (and I'm not sure there is any point to that). -- [i845] X failed to start, but installing from xorg-edgers fixed it https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/349386 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
