Public bug reported:

When connecting Alcatel x030 HSDPA modem the system mounts it as a USB
stick instead of mounting it as a Broadband modem.

This problem is happening in Ubuntu 8.10. I think is happening with all
broadband modems which include software on it. Thus, the system thinks
it is a USB stick.

There is many information on the internet to solve the problem manually
(for example http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=884316&page=2),
but I will be great if the system could recognize the card
automatically.
