Public bug reported: Binary package hint: chicken
It would be nice if you include the new version of Chicken Scheme, a scheme-to-c compiler in the next version of Ubuntu. I've found various resources that might be helpful to make the upgrade: - Packages of 2.5 at Adamantix: http://rsync.adamantix.org/dists/1.1.0/main/source/interpreters/ the good part is that it is already 2.5, the bad part is that it seems Adamantix took a different approach on how to package it than Debian. Personally I think the Adamantix way is nice (not that there's anything wrong with the current Debian packages). - Packages of 2.41 from Chicken's wiki: "http://chicken.wiki.br/Debian packages" probably they are Debian-like but they are 2.41 instead of 2.5. I've made a kind of trivial Debianization of Adamantix packages, if that's useful, let me know and I'll send them. Thank you. ** Affects: chicken (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Include packages for Chicken Scheme 2.5 https://launchpad.net/bugs/78403 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
