same here on an Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.66GHz I've worked around this by installing the Debian Xen kernel package on the Dom0 and DomU machines: linux-image-2.6.18-3-xen-686. It pulls in the Debian Xen tools too, but doesn't clobber anything Ubuntu specific.
