@god-mok: when you install a beta version you take some risks. as far as I know, the problem only happens when you upgrade the kernel. so if you stick to the kernel provided by the installation CD (2.6.28-9) until the problem is solved, you should be safe. I guess this is a problem specific to the Ubuntu kernel 2.6.28-11.
