Public bug reported: Hello! I'm trying to use Ubuntu on my notebook HP nx9005 but when I boot it "hangs" and it takes at least 15 minutes to show the desktop (without icons, they aren't loaded)... I can't run and install it! I tried with earlier version and kubuntu too...nothing...
It seems to be an hardware problem... I'm not the only one: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=345452 https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/11941 How can I get Ubuntu working? I've tried both safe graphic mode and "linux acpi=off no lapic" but it freeze anyway!! :( ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ubuntu hangs on boot after loading ACPI (HP Compaq nx9005) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356665 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
