Public bug reported: Sorry if this is already reported, there's a lot of brightness bugs on here and I can't find this one if it's here. Using the Jaunty beta on my Samsung NC10. I've got the gpm set to reduce lcd brightness to 40% when on battery, and also to dim the display when idle. What I expect to happen is for the brightness to be set to 40% 'absolutely' when the system is disconnected from AC, reduce further [possibly relative reduction] when the system is idle, go back up to the previous brightness when brought out of idle state and restore to 100% when plugged back into AC.
What actually happens is that the brightness is changed relatively to the current brightness, my brightness changes thusly: On AC - 100% Disconnect AC - 40% Idle - 30%*40% = 12% Out of idle - 40%*40% = 16% If this were to continue without me putting the brightness back up to 100%, it would obviously just keep getting darker and darker. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Brightness decreases perpetually https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/355784 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
