Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
During installation, after selecting the timezone from the dropdown, I clicked the "Set Time..." button. Dialog buttons became non-responsive, although the displayed time continued to tick on seconds. Looking at ps, I noticed tzsetup process and a 'ubiquity time-admin' process running. After kill -9 on the latter process, the dialog buttons began working again, however clicking the Next button resulted in an "Installer crashed" dialog with the following backtrace: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/gtkui.py", line 1352, in watch_debconf_fd_helper return callback(source, debconf_condition) File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/filteredcommand.py", line 169, in process_input if not self.process_line(): File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/filteredcommand.py", line 103, in process_line return self.dbfilter.process_line() File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/debconffilter.py", line 232, in process_line self.reply(0, 'question will be asked', log=True) File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/debconffilter.py", line 134, in reply self.subin.write('%s\n' % ret) IOError: [Errno 32] Broken pipe ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- [feisty] Installer crashed on "Set Time..." https://launchpad.net/bugs/78128 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
