"On my fairly fresh install of Ubuntu (only with restricted extras installed)" Also, to clarify, I tried 2 different things: 1. Installed OMS in the live-cd environment. It worked correctly. 2. Installed OMS on a freshly installed Jaunty beta system (but it did have Ubuntu restricted extras installed). It did not work. Neither did removing the java packages listed above.
