Ok... im trying Linux for first time. I have a laptop Pavillion dv8000 on Ubuntu Edgy, and as I have readed your posts, seems like I have the same problem. The sound too low. Well, following your histories I downloaded the last ALSA drivers (1.0.14rc1). Now I have the folder named "alsa-driver-1.0.14rc1" on my desktop but I have no idea what's the next step and how to do it. May some one help me?
