Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mutt-patched
When sending an email with an empty "From:" header, mutt will crash rather than warn the user. This turns out to have been fixed already[1][2][3]; it would be nice to merge this patch from upstream. To duplicate: - Start mutt - Compose an email - At the prompt just before sending, hit Esc-f (to edit the "From:" header) and empty the line - Hit "y" to send the mail - Watch mutt crash What should happen instead: A friendly, informative message and/or setting the From: address automagically.
