#1 & #2 Each of the dialogs that you click Next through has useful information on whether the step completed or not. Sure it would be nice if there was an option for it to simply continue if there are not errors. Perhaps a specific bug requesting that would be useful.
#3 What would you propose in place of ssh for securely connecting to the remote system? Or are you talking about running fwbuilder on the local system?
