Are you sure that this is the correct file? AND: We got two different reports, one stating that it does *only* apply to texlive and not tetex, and one that it applies to both. My honest guess is that there are some .xdvirc, XDvi resources, or something else lying around at the user or in the global dirs interfering. But this is a guess. Still hoping for a dvi file that actually exhibits this effect.
