I ran the suspend_test script in Jaunty yesterday and everything seemed to work ok. Last week I was able to capture a backtrace for xorg which I filed as bug 347616 - it is possible that the root cause of the problem is the same, but I'm not entirely sure since it didn't spawn a KernelOops.
