This is on an up-to-date 9.04 with nautilus 2.26.

I delete the file either by drag'n'drop to the trash, the file context
menu, or the delete key - this does not make any difference.

Ubuntu is installed using the Romanian locale - ro_RO.UTF-8.

This bug is also reproducible with a clean user profile.
