Yeah, I too don't have thumbnailing enabled and tracker put the load average on my system up to about 50. For now I've told tracker to ignore *.CR2 files.
Also, this is a regression - this didn't happen under Hardy. One question I have is why tracker runs so many dcraw/identify processes in parallel?
