More Complete Workaround: (For Ubuntu 8.04 and similar (e.g. Linux Mint 6) Eagle automatically creates the folder called "eagle" in your home directory. Go into that directory and create a new file called "nicestart.sh". Open the file with the text editor and paste in Bart's script:
#!/bin/bash export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 eagle %U Notice that I've added "%U" after the "eagle" command, this makes it look the way you left it. This is also the default command used from the taskbar menu. Once this is saved go to "taskbar menu > preferences > main menu" once it pops up navigate to the Electronics section(left side) click on the Eagle "Properties". A little box will pop up that lets you edit the command used. Click the browse button and navigate to the nicestart.sh script. Once this is saved you can now use the normal taskbar to start eagle. :) Cog -- [eagle] All text is transparent with compiz, program is unusable. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222790 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
