** Description changed: Binary package hint: multipath-tools I configured a Dell MD3000 using multipath. Everything looks good, but after a reboot there is no /dev/dm-* devices and the partitions do not show up in /dev/mapper. I have to manually generate the /dev/dm-* devices with mknod and then manually call kpartx before I can mount the partitions. I asked for help on the dm-devel mailing list and it was narrowed down to a possible udev problem. Oops. Its Ubuntu 8.10. I have faithfully run apt-get update every day for the last 3 weeks, but no fix has come in, hence what looks like a duplicate bug to what others have reported here, as their fixes do not seem to apply to me. + + Edit: My package is multipath-tools (0.4.8-10ubuntu1)
