I've isolated why this segfault occurs. The struct long_options[] is
not terminated with an empty entry as required by getopt_long. I've
tested a fix under the upstream Debian package which works.
I doubt this is a high enough priority to get around the feature freeze
:) I'll get this submitted under Debian and it will filter down with
the next refresh.
