Here is a patch that prevents inclusion of the windfarm modules if the device is a PS3.
Please note that: 1) I verified that all these modules are of no use to the PS3 (blacklisted them, restarted, the fan still works) 2) I updated my initrd using "update-initramfs -u" with this patch applied on my system.
