My apple keyboard pairs on boot (typing with it now) yet the bluetooth applet
is completely unaware of this, and when I attempt to pair my mouse, it doesn't
find anything.

I assume the bluetooth application in gnome is suppose to handle all bluetooth
pairings?
Other things tried:
/etc/init.d/bluetooth restart doesn't even disrupt the bluetooth pairing
of the keyboard
