Chris, if I recall, Ubuntu added a patch to GParted 0.4.3 to recognize /dev/mapper devices. This solves a portion of the problem of dealing with dmraid devices, but is not the whole solution.
For instance the /dev/mapper device entries would not be deleted when a partition was deleted, nor created when a new partition was created. The current development version of GParted uses the "dmraid", "kpartx", and "dmsetup" commands to address these and other problems when working with /dev/mapper dmraid devices. This new GParted software is available for testing at the above posted forum link. -- gparted truncates device names for /dev/mapper devices https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154864 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
