Public bug reported: Hello,
I really suffer from this terrible bug. I've lost pretty much of my unsaved work. To reproduce... I am connected to the eduroam university wireless wpa2 network with my HP 6510b laptop, which has Intel 3945 abg module in it. I have latest Jaunty and use iwl3945 module. After very short time, I am regularly disconnected from the network and I am NOT ABLE to connect until the computer is rebooted. I've invented, that removing and modprobing the iwl3945 module sometimes help and I can connect the network for another short time and this loops. Turning the wifi off on my laptop by pressing the wifi button really turns off the wifi, but it doesn't goes up with pressing it on again. Light on this button lights, but network manager doesn't allow me to check the checkbutton (see the attachment). It's for the 8th (!) time I did reloading of the iwl3945 module and very soon, after the computer is connected, the computer HANGS. Whole screen, mouse, graphics, everything is static. I'm not able to use virtual consoles and only pressing the turn-off button for 5 seconds works in order to reboot my computer. I am attaching the logs. Please ask for more information, not shure what to do. Thanks. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Jaunty, iwl3945 system hang, HP 6510b radio switch https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/345800 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
