Public bug reported: This is a regression. I use suspend a lot on Sony Vaio VGN-AR730 running Intrepid but on Jaunty it stopped working. Closing the Lid looks like not triggering anything and selecting suspend from Gnome Panel actually suspend the computer but when trying to return operation it does not work at all (I have to send <CTRL>+<ALT>+<SysRq>+"REISUB" sequence to reboot it).
Please let me know which debugging procedures I need to do. Thanks and Best Regards, Guilherme ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 MachineType: Sony Corporation VGN-AR730E Package: linux-image-2.6.28-9-generic 2.6.28-9.31 ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/casper/vmlinuz file=/cdrom/preseed/hostname.seed boot=casper initrd=/casper/initrd.gz quiet splash -- ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.28-9.31-generic SourcePackage: linux ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- Sony Vaio VGN-AR730 does not suspend anymore https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/345721 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
