I think there may be some confusion here: This is a valid bug. I can reproduce it, having just upgraded to jaunty a few days ago. I can't fix it, the totem plugin for firefox just doesn't want to play some file types, whereas totem proper does it no problem at all.
the test site that's been asked for could be hacker public radio, wikipedia, or anything that uses embedded media really. the only solution, it seems to me, is to use the (rather awkward) mplayer plugin instead. @ Sebastien Bacher: "the webbrowser is not supposed to be a multimedia player that's not a bug, do you have any buggy website example?" With the totem plugin installed, firefox _should_ be a multimedia player! It should play all sorts of media, nothing short of that. Hope that helps, Stefano Palazzo -- totem-mozilla doesn't play OGG and MP3 files within the web browser https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/323963 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
