Hi! I have the same problem here. I am running jaunty amd64 on a Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H mainboard (AMD 690G). With xserver-xorg-video-ati (6.11.0+git20090310.945ccbbd-0ubuntu1) I get these random screen blanks on my DVI output (the second VGA head is unaffected). Here, too, the blanks occur more often and are longer if the system is under higher load. 'Option "DisplayPriority" "HIGH"' did have no effect.
I just gave radeonhd a try, and I had no blanks for the last 20 minutes.
