Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
(K)Ubuntu Jaunty, alpha 6. I tried to install alpha 6 from the amd64-desktop.iso, and X cannot start, complaining that there are no screens. My graphics card is an Mobility Radeon HD 3450 (6xx graphics chip, I believe), residing in an Acer Aspire M3201. X can be configured correctly by Manually adding the lines Driver "radeon" BusID "PCI:2:0:0" which seems to function flawlessly as far as the radeon driver is capable. Planning to attatch modified Xorg.conf, lspci -vvnn and Xorg.0.log (all from liveCD session). I don't think this is a KUbuntu specific problem, has happened to me some other time, but since this is an alpha I thought I should file a bug report :) ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Radeon HD3450 not starting X https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/343092 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
