Thank you for your bug report. On my system, the welcome "Quick
Introduction" dialog has a checkbox marked "Show this dialog at
startup." Note that it is by default unchecked, meaning that the next
time that Synaptic launches it will not appear. If you continue to check
this box, it will continue to appear. Just to confirm, could you try
this behavior while leaving the checkbox *unchecked?* Thanks.
