  I run on a Dimension 9200, with and nvidia card.
  
  Everything seems to run smoothly then the the screen just goes black for
  a second and I'm on the login screen again.
  
  It sometimes seems linked to something I'm doing (hitting F5 to refresh
  a page on firefox, hiting Ctrl+S to save in gedit) but sometimes it just
  does it while I'm not doing anything.
  
  It looks like the crashes come farther apart when I only use gnome-
  terminal and nothing else.
  
  Let me know if I need to join more information from logs or stuff (I'm
  not sure what to put here, I probably shouldn't be running and alpha in
  the first place...)
