Public bug reported: After Jaunty updates (kernel), this message appears at boot:
IO APIC resources could be not be allocated. This is due to the message being printed with KERN_ERR instead of KERN_INFO, but is harmless. ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 Package: linux-image-2.6.28-8-generic 2.6.28-8.28 The dmesg text doesn't show the error in older kernel and that shows when I boot with the newer (this) kernel. I have everything ok. with APIC and first see this error/message. Here is my dmesg. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Jaunty] Error/Message appearing at boot - IO APIC resources could be not be allocated. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/341989 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
