It broke while going to hibernation as far as I know. It seems to do a normal boot when one hits the power button to turn it on again.
This happens repeatedly. Hibernate worked up until the end of February or so - I don't have an exact date when it broke, as I don't hibernate overly much. 2.6.28-8-generic was the kernel I was using, where it both worked, and subsequently failed a few days later. The battery didn't run out, it didn't kernel panic, and I didn't see any messages either. I'll test via pm-hibernate in a bit.
