gsynaptics requires to add 'SHMConfig' 'true' to xorg.conf. There is no input section for touchpad in xorg.conf by default and to have "real xorg hotpluging" I'd better not have it there. Writing hal rule is so complicated. I think, there should be rule for synaptics driver to enable SHMConfig for hal by default.
