I installed the nvidia drivers thanks to the system/administration/proprietary drivers application in Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex. After installation, the computer reboot, and blocks on a black screen, which doesnt permit me to login and give my user password. The only way to boot the system is either to fix the xserver on a recovery session, or to boot with another oldest kernel. My computer is a hp laptop, dv9500, with intel dual core processor, and with an nvidia 8400 gs graphical card . Everything was working properly until i made the new kernel update.
