Sorry for the bug spam, guys. I also have serious problems with printing in Jaunty since a few days. I'm not sure if it's the same thing as this bug, though.
I'm sitting here looking at a Canon Pixus 550i (a model only sold in Japan, as far as I know). It needs an out-of-ubuntu driver to make it work: http://mambo.kuhp.kyoto-u.ac.jp/~takushi/ Everything was printing fine until about ten days ago when printing would stop with "child process aborted". I found the following lines in the cups error log E [10/Mar/2009:10:01:47 +0900] [Job 1176] child process aborted E [10/Mar/2009:10:01:47 +0900] PID 15641 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstocanonbj) stopped with status 1! E [10/Mar/2009:10:01:47 +0900] [Job 1176] Job stopped due to filter errors. Not sure if this is indeed the same bug as here. I'll open a separate issue for this for triaging. If it turns out to be a dupe, I'll mark it as such. -- Various printers not detected when plugged in on Jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/336512 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
