Sound does not recover from suspend on 8.10 (or 8.04) with Audio Device: 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02)
If I use Pulse audio to 'Move Stream' to other (non-ALSA) channels (such as RTP Multicast) then do: sudo /etc/init.d/alsa-utils force-reload ....it usually comes good.
