I still have the same problem, this what I got today after running
f-spot from command line and only try to import from the 450:

(f-spot:8888): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: GdkPixbufLoader finalized without calling 
gdk_pixbuf_loader_close() - this is not allowed. You must explicitly end the 
data stream to the loader before dropping the last reference.
item ImportCommand+SourceItem
Testing gphoto path = usb:

Fortunately Nautilus does work correct with the 450.
