I can confirm a similar crash with Ubuntu 8.04 and OpenOffice 3.0 using a KDE desktop with all the latest patches applied. From memory, it was previously possible to save a membership table to a different name at the financial year end. TableCurrent for year 2008-2009 could be saved to a name table2008 and tablecurrent could remain in use as the current table. Any attempt to do this now results in an OpenOffice crash from which it is possible to recover and there is a table2008 but it contains no data - the option to save the new table with both settings and data had been previously chosen.
I have tried to use the 'save as' option from the table design menu to rename the table, I have tried drag and drop and copy & paste. All result in an OpenOffice crash. I have tried a simple rename of tablecurrent, renaming it to table2008 but the table2008 will not open, there is an error message relating to inappropriate index for structure. If the table is re-renamed back to the original table current name it does load up OK. Hope this info helps. imackee, Durham City UK -- OpenOffice base crashes when copying a table https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/310536 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
