Public bug reported: I have a Pulseaudio link between two Intrepid boxes.
If play raw audio over it with Aplay or Paplay, playback is flawless. But if I use Gstreamer apps—I've tried Ekiga and Banshee—the playback has a chop once in every three minutes or so. This does not occur during local playback, but only when using remote Pulseaudio servers. It is highly annoying; I hope that I could redirect the sound to stdout so that I could redirect it to paplay to work around this problem, because paplay works! During the chop network output drops (see attached image), so I assume Pulse has no data to send, and this is a Gstreamer bug rather than Pulse. ** Affects: gst-plugins-good0.10 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Choppy playback with gstreamer apps over pulseaudio links https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/339170 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
