** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg Last week I upgraded from intrepid to jaunty. After the reboot, X11 failed to start. It looks like it tried a few times before giving up. That is, after the splash logo and boot progress bar, it alternated several times between a black screen and a corrupt version of the previous session, then stopped. Didn't respond to ctrl-alt-shift-f1. Rebooting in recovery mode, Xorg.0.log mentions a segfault. I tried ubuntu-bug, but w3m doesn't seem to interact usefully with launchpad. Or I hit the wrong key. Anyway, I'll try to attach useful info after creating the bug.
