Well this is happening to me now. On 3 machines. one upgraded, one 32bit fresh install and one 64bit fresh install. Same exact thing as you explained it is happening to me.
I am not sure what to do now. I can't deliver computers to customers in this broken state. Can someone at least tell us how to deliver Ubuntu to customers with a working screensaver? or should we just remove the screensavers before delivery?
